Linkin Park to Help Build Homes in New Orleans
February 25, 2008This week, Linkin Park will travel to New Orleans to help build homes for families displaced by Hurricane Katrina with Music for Relief and Habitat for Humanity! The band will head to an undisclosed location affected by Katrina where, alongside fellow artist Coheed and Cambria, they’ll join volunteers from Music for Relief, and Habitat homeowner families to build homes in the damaged Gulf Coast area.
“There is still so much work to be done on the Gulf Coast following the devastation of hurricane Katrina,” said bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell “Linkin Park is proud to be a part of the rebuilding process.”
Music For Relief has raised money for the homes to be built through donations, ticket sales, merchandise sales, ticket auctions, and at Music For Relief booth during the current Linkin Park arena tour.
