Hi, I'm Emanuela (but Ema is better), a kinda crazy girl from Italy.
Maybe I should have written "A Thousand Minutes To The Hunting (of a) (Living) Hybrid Meteora" as my nickname, since I cannot even choose just one album, even if I have to say METEORA is special to me :D... but anyway I think that thing would be long LOL so I'll keep HybridMeteora, which sounds pretty cool to me :D
I've been listening to Linkin Park since late 2007/early 2008, I don't remember exactly, and I immediately liked the songs I listened to. . . .
Then, after a while, I hadn't listened to them for some months, 'cause of bad memories running through my head with the music, but this period didn't last too much (but it was neither so short; I mean, not a whole year, but it lasted a bunch of months), 'cause I realized that was only a stupid thing: who is that fuckin guy (the guy that introduced me to LP, but also the guy that disappointed me so much betraying my trust some times later) to make me stop listening to LP? Well, nobody. So, fuck him. And so I started listening to LP again :) . . .
And that was a wiser decision, also because many of their songs seemed to describe exactly the way I felt/had felt or/and what I thought/had though, and that helped me a lot in that one and other, various, situations.
They've always given me the strength to go on.
They've made my world sounds better.
They've meant (and obviously still mean) so much to me. And I owe them a lot.
And this kind of feeling still lasts and helps me, both in bad moments and in happy moments of my life.
Both music and lyrics; the beats, the rhythm and the melody. I can always find something (a word, a chord, a note, a phrase, a beat, something said in a certain way, etc) to identify myself with, or just something to make me feel better.
I don't know if this makes sense, it's something that isn't so easy to explain, you know...
And that's something I can't feel for every band I listen to, but actually only for a few ones. And LP are among these for sure, and so they and their music became more and more important to me. . . .
And, also, thanks to LP I've met some wonderful people and friends :) . . .
Finally, I saw them for the first time in Milan on June 10th, 2014! :') such a great and emotional show, we were "the loudest crowd ever" (as Chester said) :') And I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to meet them in person at the M&G! *-* they're such kind, fun and down-to-heart people! :)
Milano (Italy) - June 10, 2014 (+M&G) ;
Zurich (Switzerland) - November 3, 2014 (+M&G)
I've been a LPUer since November 2011. And I can say LPU is worth those 45 sandwiches per year I had not eaten in order to buy my annual memberships LOL
Proud member of it :)
Fav LP songs?
Too many too, I cannot even pick just one, neither one per album. I tried, but in the end I realized I was going to list almost the whole tracklists hahah
Even if I have really a special relation with FROM THE INSIDE, I owe that song really a lot... even if it's not the ONLY special one to me, but I'm not gonna list you every special ones, cuz they're too many and I'll end up listing most of their songs ;D lol . . .
Every song is special in its own way! . . .
I'm not gonna say old LP (or new LP) are better... they're just different, but anyway I think they're always LP: I mean, they always have some special features I can recognize as particular LPish (for the music, the lyrics, the style, the topics, the feelings and emotions they can communicate, etc...) . . .
Even if, at first, I needed some time and listenings with open heart+open mind+open ears+open soul to "digest" and feel it, now I can say I love ATS. . . .
I love every album, as I said, in its own particular way.
I just love LP, new, old, middle, whatever.. LOL
From their earliest demos to their latest stuff (THP is amazing!)
Uhm, what else? ... I fuckin' love music, I really can't live without it. I'm not kidding!! . . . Aishiteru, Music. Thanks for being here, by my side, every time I need you ;)
I'm a guitar player. I learnt to play the guitar (the electric one, first of all) almost by myself, back in 2007 or something like that..
And in 2012, I tried to (re)learn to play the keyboard too.
I play both cover and song I try to write.
I like singing too. I like to throw out what I feel through the music, both listening to it, and playing/singing it. Even if I'm not that out of tune, I'm kinda embarassed to sing with other people so...LOL
FAV BANDS & bands I like: Linkin Park, Dead By Sunrise, Fort Minor, Papa Roach, coldrain, Metallica, Bullet For My Valentine, Glamour Of The Kill, Nightwish, Rage Against The Machine, Guns N' Roses (the "old" GNR), U2, AC/DC, Ramones, REM, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Grey Daze, Rise Against, Queen, Pearl Jam, Joan Jett, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Bon Jovi, Green Day (the old ones), Velvet Revolver, Soundgarden, Audioslave, One Ok Rock, and other more...
Hobbies: listening to music, playing guitar, singing, playing keyboard/synth, writing, reading, composing music, watching anime, drawing & painting, hanging out with friends, playing with friends, going to gigs, etc...
Languages, mostly (American) English and Japanese.. (And so, I'm attending courses of these 2 languages at University)
Computers & technologies..
LP-related things (..you don't say?!? LOL)
Uhm...have I already said music? :D
